Is cleaning the “raceway” part of your routine maintenance? All printers travel down and back typically on an aluminum rail. There are bearings that roll or slide. Check with the manufactures recommendations on lubrications. Mutoh and Graphtec equipment can be cleaned with Isopropyl alcohol in 4 key areas. Check on top, bottom, and front of rail. Use a lint free cloth. Avoiding this can cause motors and bearing to wear out. - Dec. 2011 |
