Input Profiles

Output Profiles (Media)

How are you supposed to go from the colors that the customer saw on their
display then to your design application then to your software RIP and finally to the final
output color with consistency?  The answer is in your color management.
This process takes place whether you realize it or not.  Take back Control
over your color by scheduling an onsite visit to evaluate and make changes
for constant results.
Example of a color gamut
All software rips (Raster Image Processing) use input profiles.
these are sometime referred to as “Working Space” profiles.
these profiles are like color eyeglass prescriptions.  They help
the RIP interpret the correct color based on the output
desired.  Choosing the correct input profile is critical to
determine final output.
Based on ink, printer resolution, print modes and more is what
Makes up the “Output Profile”.  These are determined by
Material manufactures and individuals that test media to
determine desirable output.  Each printer and environment
changes.  It is Important to keep up with the updates.
